BetLedger · sports betting.
App page. Not yet on the App Store.
If you have already got round a blocker you know why they do not work — they come off in under a minute, and the reviews of every one of them say so. So this app does not try. It adds up what betting has actually cost you, per book, all in; it runs the total you have not lost since your last bet at your own measured rate; and when the urge arrives it spends ten minutes doing the arithmetic you never do. The ledger and those ten minutes are free forever.
You reconstruct it once, and reconstructing it is the part that hurts. Months you cannot remember exactly get entered as an estimate and are marked as an estimate for as long as they exist — dashed rule, labelled, never quietly folded into a total that then pretends to be precise.
Specimen Not anyone's real ledger. The figures are invented; the arrangement is exactly what the app renders.
No sportsbook is named anywhere in the app, and there are no odds feeds, no live lines, no schedules and no affiliate links. The only odds in it are a number you type in yourself, and what it returns is the expected loss.
BurnRateEngine measures your own rate rather than assuming one, and CounterfactualEngine runs the total you have not lost since your last bet against it. It is the only figure in the app that goes up.
| Ahead | Not lost | Read it as |
|---|---|---|
| 30 days | $3,626 | Two months of rent, for most people |
| 90 days | $10,878 | Roughly what the ledger above says you are down |
| 365 days | $44,118 | The number that is hard to look at |
Those three are your rate multiplied by a number of days, and nothing else. There is no model, no assumption about how you will behave, and no confidence interval implying a precision that a daily average does not have. The debt view does the same arithmetic against what you owe, and says on its own face: this ignores interest — it isn't a payment plan.
One button, always visible, for the moment you are about to bet. It starts a ten-minute clock that cannot be skipped, and it fills those ten minutes with the only thing that has ever competed with a bet: the actual maths on the bet you were about to place.

6 of your last 20 wagers at these odds and this stake came in. 30% of $350 profit, less 70% of $250 staked, is −$70.00. You can check that on a phone calculator, which is the point.
I walked away Logged, and the streak continues
I placed a bet Logged, and the ledger is updated
Both of those buttons are there at the end of every ten minutes, and the second one is never hidden, never greyed out and never behind a confirmation designed to shame you. A streak you cannot break is worth nothing, and an app you have to lie to gets deleted.
If you nominate someone, they are told at the start of the ten minutes rather than after the damage. You choose who, you choose the words, you can revoke it in one tap, and nothing is sent automatically — the app composes the message and you send it yourself. Their details never leave your device.
A 7-day free trial. The ten minutes are free deliberately: it is the thing that might help at one in the morning, and putting it behind a paywall would make the app worthless at the only moment it matters. No ads in any tier, no weekly plan, and helplines are one tap from every screen.
This app does not block, restrict or prevent access to anything.
It cannot stop you placing a bet, cannot close an account and cannot enrol you in a self-exclusion scheme. iOS cannot enforce any of that, and I would rather say so here than sell you a promise the phone cannot keep. Gambling harm is a serious health issue and this app is not treatment.
