These terms govern your use of BetLedger (com.xuranium.betledger). By using the app you agree to them.
BetLedger is a self-tracking loss ledger for people trying to stop gambling: a record of what you have lost, a running figure for what you have not lost since your last bet, and a ten-minute walkthrough that computes the expected loss on a bet from your own logged history. It is a self-tracking and educational tool. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, not treatment, and not a substitute for a qualified clinician or counsellor. Any figure it shows is arithmetic performed on numbers you entered yourself.
This app does not block, restrict or prevent access to anything. It cannot stop you placing a bet, cannot close an account, cannot enrol you in a self-exclusion scheme, and does not claim to. iOS cannot enforce that, and we would rather say so than sell you a promise the phone cannot keep.
The app also contains no gambling of any kind: no odds feeds, no live lines, no game schedules, no simulated betting, and no sportsbook or casino names, logos, deep links or affiliate links. The only odds anywhere in it are a number you type into a delay screen, and what it returns is the expected loss.
If you nominate someone, you are responsible for having their agreement to be contacted. In this version nothing is sent automatically: the app composes a message and you send it yourself from the share sheet. Their details never leave your device and your own iCloud, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Everything you record stays yours. We claim no rights over it, and as described in the Privacy Policy we never receive it.
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it in any unlawful way.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It does not guarantee that you will stop gambling, reduce your losses, or recover any money. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including any gambling loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
